ProAmpac acquires Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando

Flexible packaging manufacturer ProAmpac has acquired Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando from Holland’s Clondalkin Group for an undisclosed price.

The business will become part of the ProAmpac brand and operate as a part of the Extrusion and Laminations Division. Bill Harris, former president of Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando, will lead ProAmpac’s lidding solutions.

“For more than 20 years ProAmpac has partnered with Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando to jointly supply lidding and films to the marketplace,” Greg Tucker, CEO of ProAmpac, said in a statement. “This acquisition enables us to offer customers an integrated and comprehensive capability as well as an ability to meet their increasing demands for daisy chain portion-pack lidding. We are pleased about the enhanced offerings this acquisition will bring to our customers.”

ProAmpac, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is owned by Pritzker Group Private Capital along with management and co-investors.

ProAmpac, after taking over Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando, has 23 manufacturing sites in North America, Europe, and Asia to serve more than 5,000 customers in 90 countries. The company’s product offerings include market segments of food, pet care, healthcare, lawn care and retail markets as well as providing secure packaging for the transport of cash and valuables.

Clondalkin, founded in 1977, became known as Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando in 2014. Clondalkin is a group of nine flexible packaging companies located across Europe and North America specializing in extrusion, printing, laminating and finishing.
