In a bid to expand its manufacturing capabilities, Ontario-based custom plastic maker NS Technologies Group Inc. has purchased thin sheet thermoformer Alvac Plastics, also located in Ontario.

In a bid to expand its manufacturing capabilities, Ontario-based custom plastic maker NS Technologies Group Inc. has purchased thin sheet thermoformer Alvac Plastics, also located in Ontario.

The terms of the purchase have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in Milton, Ont., NS Technologies Group offers injection molded, rotational molded and thermoformed parts for automotive, medical and consumer goods markets.

Alvac is based in Cobourg, Ont. The company has a 14,000-square-foot manufacturing plant and can make sheet products as large as 9 foot by 5 foot.

The purchase is the second for NS Technologies since November, when it bought injection molder Mitech Ignition of Welland, Ont.
