Bottle maker Axium buying plant in Missouri

Plastic container, caps and closures maker Axium Plastics Inc., which has a manufacturing plant in Mississauga, Ont., is opening a new plant in Missouri.

As announced by the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce, in Jefferson City, Missouri, Axium is investing US$25 million into the site and creating at least 70 new jobs in the community.

Axium will be taking over an existing 50,000-square-foot building in Jefferson City and adding an additional 75,000 square feet of space.

Axium is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The firm also has other plants in Lawrenceville, Ga., and in Ontario, Calif.
