Clarkston, Mich.-based thermoplastic resin distributor General Polymers Thermoplastic Materials LLC has appointed Terinex International Ltd., of Saint-Lazare, Que., as its representative in eastern Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces.

Terinex was founded in 1976 primarily to service the smaller plastic processors located in Quebec. Since then, the firm has grown to become suppliers to both small and international companies. Terinex’s president is Paul Browitt.

“We are honoured to partner with a company that has been an anchor of thermoplastic distribution in eastern Canada,” Gregory Boston, General Polymers’ cofounder and CEO, said in a statement. “This relationship will be invaluable to bringing the General Polymers brand to a special region of Canada that appreciates local committed support.”

Founded in 2016, General Polymers offers support to small-to-medium sized processors with a focus on prime, certifiable grades of engineering resins and compounds.
