RTP Co. to open new plant in Poland

The new 86,000-square-foot facility in Wroclaw is expected to open in summer of 2018, and is anticipated to employ about 25 workers.

U.S.-based compounder and concentrate maker RTP Co. is expanding into Poland by opening a new 86,000-square-foot facility in the city of Wroclaw.

This newest manufacturing location will support regional demand and provide a consistent supply of RTP’s custom compounded thermoplastics to customers operating in Europe. The site will be the third in Europe for Winona, Minn.-based RTP; the company has existing plants in France and Germany.

“RTP is excited to expand service to our customers in the European market through the addition of this facility in Poland, “said Danny Miles, RTP’s vice president and managing director for Europe.

The facility is expected to open in summer of 2018, and is anticipated to employ 25 or more people.

The plant will include external office space and a laboratory with controlled temperature and humidity. The production area will feature extra natural light and be equipped with additional ventilation and drainage, and will accommodate up to six production lines. The site also RTP Company with the ability to expand operations in the future.
