Germany-based chemical distributor Brenntag AG has acquired Leis Polytechnik polymere Werkstoffe GmbH, a supplier of high-performance polymer compounds also headquartered in Germany.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Leis delivers around 700 products for a wide range of applications in highly diverse industries in Germany such as automotive, electronics, medical technology, packaging, and building and construction.
“The company is an attractive investment for Brenntag, perfectly supplementing our market footprint and portfolio in the specialty polymers industry in Germany”, said Anthony Gerace, Brenntag’s managing director of mergers & acquisitions.
Brenntag says that it expects the deal to be closed in the next few weeks and it estimates that Leis Polytechnik will generate sales of around 11.3 million euros in 2016.
