WINDSOR, ON — Canadian mold makers are being invited to participate in a trade mission to Lublin, Poland during the week of June 16, setting the foundation for partnerships in an expanded European Union.
The Windsor/Essex County Development Commission has already arranged for meetings with eight mold making companies in Windsor’s twin city, and plans to set up sessions with mold makers in other Polish cities as well.
Wages in Poland are about one third of those in Canada, and the country’s mold making sector is “well developed and sophisticated,” the commission says. The country becomes a full member of the European Union (EU) in April, ensuring cooperation agreements that would allow sales into other EU countries without customs duties or non-tariff barriers.
