Electrical connector manufacturer Wieland Electric Inc. (Oakville, Ont.) has acquired Wuppertal, Germany-based Stocko Group, whose product range includes crimp and IDC connectors, contacts and customized products. The firm will continue to operate under its own name, employing over 700 in plants in Germany, France, and Belgium. Stocko also owns subsidiaries in the U.S. and Great Britain. Financial details were not disclosed. Wieland is a manufacturer of PC board and DIN rail terminal blocks, wire management systems, and remote I/O communications systems.
