“What’s new” — the theme of this year’s national packaging show — will be solidly backed up by a display of the latest packaging processes and technologies, and award-winning package designs. “We’re attracting more international exhibitors for this show, which will allow attendees to see key breakthroughs from many parts of the world, as well as in every sector of our industry,” says Alan Robinson, president and chief executive officer of the Packaging Association of Canada (PAC), which produces the biennial show. Attendees will also see evidence of Canadian companies’ leadership in designs for seniors and environmentally sound packaging. Winners of PAC’s National Packaging Competition will be on display at PAC-EX, showing that the Canadian industry continues to be dynamic and innovative. Many of the winning designs use plastics to maximum benefit for graphic appeal, novelty and reduced environmental impact. See page 28 for a list of plastics-related exhibitors at PAC-EX.
