Wentworth Mold Inc. (Hamilton, ON) and Plastic Technologies Inc. (Holland, OH) have formed a strategic alliance wherein PTI will expand its use of Wentworth’s Fast To Market (FTM) blow mold program to blow molding machines at its U.S. facility, as well as its European subsidiary, PTI-Europe, in Switzerland. Wentworth will provide PTI additional FTM mold carriers and Wentworth will produce prototype FTM molds for PTI. Wentworth will utilize PTI’s prototyping capabilities on both continents to test prototype and lead cavity molds it manufactures.
PTI recently completed an extensive package development project for one of its key customers. In the project, Wentworth supplied eight FTM molds to PTI with an average delivery time per mold of four days, from the receipt of the 3D CAD files from PTI.
