Valve gate nozzle minimizes deflection

Ewikon’s HPS III valve gate nozzle is designed with the entire nozzle, including the needle drive, positioned in front of the manifold.

Unlike conventional valve gate systems, the drive unit is not sandwiched between the clamp and plate manifold. Therefore, it is subjected to significantly lower temperatures.This eliminates the problems associated with heat expansion and seal life is greatly extended.

When plastic enters the nozzle it is directed through two melt channels. Because of this, the needle does not experience side loading or deflection of any kind. Therefore, life of the needle is greatly extended since side-loading wear is eliminated.

The needle in the Ewikon HPS III valve gate nozzle is significantly shorter than conventional valve needles resulting in improved gate quality.
