Over 40,000 replacement golf cart tops will be needed annually to meet the demand from manufacturers and rebuilders. Polymer Innovations Corporation’s SKY-VU top allows golfers an unobstructed view while offering excellent protection from harmful UV radiation. The tops are fabricated from VIVAK UV sheet supplied by DSM Sheffield. The sheet is extruded from Eastman Chemical Company’s SPECTAR copolymer. SPECTAR offers excellent clarity and better impact resistance than acrylics without low temperature brittleness. DSM Sheffield adds a proprietary layer of UV material, and a variety of custom tints. The sheet is also easy to thermoform without predrying.
