Horn Plastics Inc. has completed the consolidation of its two Whitby, ON, plants into one new, modern facility near the site of the previous plants. The $6 million, 90,000 sq. ft. facility is located at 114 Industrial Dr. Operations at the new plant began Feb. 25.

The plant consolidation gives the business the flexibility to increase molding capacity and assembly operations. Horn Plastics supplies injection molded parts and sub-assemblies for the automotive, business machine and medical markets. It also has an in-house moldmaking facility.

As a result of an alliance between the Canadian Plastics Industry Association and the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Canadian sections, SPE now has a permanent general telephone number (905-673-3113) for Canadian members. The phone line will be answered by CPIA staff in Toronto.
