What may be the world’s smallest hot runner system is now available from Heitec. Building on their Flat Nozzle Concept, Heitec has reduced the overall size and created a real miniature hot tip nozzle that allows a nozzle spacing of only 7 mm with a minimum overall nozzle length starting at 22.5 mm.
Each nozzle can be controlled separately with any 220-240 volt – J/Type thermocouple temperature controller. The thermocouple and heater are easily replaceable on-site.
After successful tests in four and 16 cavity applications, the first 32 cavity molds are now in production producing micro molded parts for the medical, electronic and electrical industries. The flat nozzles are also capable of running engineering resins.
