Three grades of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU) specifically designed for the needs of the hose and tube market have been developed by BASF Corp.
Key benefits of BASF’s new Elastollan TPU grades are: improved coil retention and improved burst pressure properties, without sacrifice in processability. The new products are available in two polyether grades and one polyester grade.
Elastollan WY05158D-1 offers very high burst strengths, especially at room temperature and is an economical alternative to BASF’s C98A10. Elastollan WY04597-1 and WY05352D-1 polyether grades have proven successful in applications where the highest coil retention is required.
