Ceast USA Inc. now offers a solution to unreliable low-temperature impact testing. The Resilvis 125 Cryo is a fully automatic impact pendulum, able to perform impact tests from -70C up to 100C. All test function are carried out by the equipment, including the critical step of positioning specimens in the anvil. A specially designed loader, which can hold up to 125 specimens of 3.2 mm thickness, is integrated into the instrument.
The 125 Cryo performs both Izod and Charpy tests, according to the most up-to-date ISO and ASTM standards in the range of energies 0.5 to 25 J. The heating/ cooling chamber has been designed to optimize temperature distribution.
