IMS’s HH16 mold temperature controller for close tolerance molding at temperatures up to 550F is recognized for its oil-to-water heat exchanger that provides rapid cool-down to decrease mold changeover times. The HH16 pumps in a blast of cooled water to reduce the temperature more quickly.

There is also a self-tuning PID-type controller. An additional feature of the HH16 is the expansion tank, which offers minimized exposure to the air to help prevent oxidation. The air-cooled pump allows for portability and eliminates the need for a water line required by competing units with water-cooled pumps. Dual 8 kW heaters promote fast mold heat-up. Insulation around the heating tank minimizes heat loss, making the mold heating faster and more efficient.
