Synventive Molding Solutions’ receiving the Tooling Supplier of the Year Award from Newmarket, Ont.-based Intier Automotive Inc., was a welcome surprise for the company, especially Synventive’s president.

“This is certainly a huge honour,” said Bill Hume, president of Synventive in Peabody, Mass. “Synventive is a very customer focused organization and really works to meet the customers’ needs [for] quality, delivery and price-performance. This [award] reinforces that we are meeting those goals.”

In a statement released to the press on the announcement, Intier’s Tooling and Processing Technology manager Jim Betters said Synventive was given the award not only for the quality of its products, but also for the company’s ability to delivery its solutions on-time to Intier.

“Over the past five years, we have produced over 17 million door panels, lift gates and other parts with Synventive systems without a single lost-time event,” Hume said.
