Chillers Inc. has moved to a new and larger facility. The company’s new address is 1228 Gorham St., Unit 11, Newmarket, ON L3Y 7V1. Phone and fax remain the same. Chillers Inc. is the Canadian distributor for Advantage Engineering (Greenwood, IN) which manufactures chillers and mold temperature controllers.

Hot-runner manufacturer Synventive Molding Solutions has been sold by its parent company Berwind Industries to Madison Capital Partners, an investment group based in Chicago. Madison has acquired a number of plastic manufacturing companies over the past few years. Larry Geis, Madison president and CEO, said the purchase was in keeping with the firm’s strategy of buying and building industrial manufacturing companies with strong reputations. Synventive was formed in the late 1990s from the amalgamation of Dynisco HotRunners, Eurotool and Kona.

STANMECH Technologies Inc. (Burlington, ON) will represent air knives from Secomak Ltd. in Canada. “This product will give us the ability to provide a cost effective and complementary air movement solution to customers requiring drying and cleaning applications,” says Paul Subject, president of STANMECH.

Plastics equipment representative Plastics Machinery Inc. (Newmarket, ON) has launched its own line of chillers. A complete line of PMI brand chillers — including towers, centrals and portables — is being manufactured in Canada.

In addition, PMI is now the Canadian representative for Swiss-designed mold temperature control units from Regloplas USA (St. Joseph, MI).

Downstream extrusion equipment supplier Bolton Industries Inc. has moved to a larger administrative and manufacturing facility. The new address is 40 Trowers Road, Toronto, ON, L4L 7K6, tel.: 905-856-6522.

Reynolds Food Packaging Canada Inc. is the new name for Plastiques M&R. In addition, administrative offices have moved to 5555 William-Price St., Laval, QC, H7L 6C4. The plant is still located at 509 Lindbergh St. in Laval.
