Cyronix Inc. (Toronto) is now selling its own brand of transducers and other melt-pressure related products for the plastics industry. Cyronix, headed by Curt Roberts, represented Dynisco Instruments in Canada for twelve years.
Robotics manufacturer Automated Assemblies Corp. (Clinton, MA) has formed a strategic alliance with injection molding machinery manufacturer Demag Plastics Group (Strongsville, OH) which is expected to provide a larger sales and service network for Automated Assemblies’ customers, and offer Demag customers a single source for their injection molding and automation needs.
Cargill has agreed to acquire Dow Chemical’s interest in Cargill Dow LLC, a joint venture formed in 1997 to commercialize polylactic acid (PLA) biopolymers. Cargill’s natural polymer business employs 230 people in Minnetonka, MN and Blair, NB. The business will be renamed Natureworks LLC.
