Hagglunds Drives (Canada) Inc., a unit of Hagglunds Drives Inc., North America, headquartered in Columbus, OH, has opened a new Canadian facility. The facility, located in Burlington, ON, will house sales offices, technical support and repair and warehousing for Hagglunds’ line of industrial hydraulic motors.
German PVC manufacturer Vinnolit has established a single distribution channel in North America through an agreement with Shawnee Canada Ltd. (Toronto) and Shawnee Chemical Co. (Princeton, NJ). Shawnee will distribute the entire range of Vinnolit’s dispersion, blending and thermoplastic specialty resins.
Stephen Sales Group, Markham, ON, has been appointed representative for Ontario and Manitoba for purging compounds from RapidPurge, Stratford, CT.
Hasco America has opened a customer service centre in Arden, NC at the company’s North America headquarters. This facility also houses a 32,000 sq. ft. machining centre. Hasco produces standard and special plate, mold bases, and hot runner systems.
Florence, KY, will become the new North American headquarters for Ticona, the technical polymers business of Celanese AG. It was announced earlier this year that Ticona’s Summit, NJ, site would be closed. Marketing, product and application development, customer service and R&D will move to Florence.
Colortech Inc., a subsidiary of Polyplast Muller GmbH, has purchased Eastman Chemical Company’s color concentrate business. Terms of the sale, which was effective Sept. 30, 2003, were not disclosed.
Colortech operates compounding plants in Brampton, ON and Morristown, TN.
