Flood forces Bunting to close Canadian office

Canadians looking to buy a Bunting Magnetics Co. conveyor or conveyor system will have go through the firm’s office in Newton, Kan., after the company closed its Toronto office last November. A severe rainstorm in Toronto last August flooded the office forced the closure Mike Wilks, director of marketing and sales for Bunting Magnetics, explained. There are no plans to re-open the Toronto office. Bunting’s mold cleaning and maintenance chemical products business, which it took on in the acquisition of The New Moulders Supply Company Inc. and C.A. Systems & Plastics, has been sold to Concord, Ont.-based Spray-Pak, according to Wilks. For the time being, Canadians looking to get service and support for those cleaning and maintenance products should contact the suppliers of these products directly.

Channel Prime Alliance to distribute Dow plastics

Channel Prime Alliance, based in Norwalk, Conn. is now an authorized distributor of the Dow Chemical Company’s Nordel hydrocarbon rubber for TDCC and for Dow Chemical Canada Inc., in the both the U.S. and Canada. The firm already distributes Dow’s specialty and base plastics in both countries. Dow is based in Midland, Mich.
