David Warren is now a technical sales representative with STANMECH Technologies Inc. (Burlington, ON). Warren will be responsible for the food & beverage, medical, pharmaceutical and automotive markets across Canada for all of STANMECH’s plastic joining and packaging solutions.

Due to demand, Paratherm Corp. (Conshohocken, PA) has expanded its Toronto stocking location to carry virtually all of the company’s specialty heat transfer fluids.

Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. reported a US$11.4 million profit on sales of US$185.2 million for the three months ending Jan. 31. This compares with a loss of US$6.5 million in the second quarter of the company’s previous financial year. According to a press report, Husky orders grew by 25% in the quarter, despite lingering soft conditions in the plastics industry. Husky says the profit improvement also reflects increases in productivity and cost savings.
