Reinforced polypropylene compounds that are 30 percent stronger than traditional glass-fibre reinforced PP have been launched by DSM Engineering Plastics.
DSM explains that the new materials use unique, advanced technology in resin, glass fibres, coupling chemistry and compounding. They offer higher impact and tensile strength, better stiffness and higher short term heat resistance than homopolymer-based grades with similar glass loadings.
