Brampton Engineering Inc., introduces the ISO-therm streamlined co-extrusion die (SCD) for super temperature isolation of up to 150C between adjacent layers. The ISO-therm module is supplied with an oil circulating temperature control system. The oil maintains the module at its pre-selected temperature by either removing or adding heat as required, due to any heat transfer between adjoining modules. With ISO-therm SCD it is now possible to co-extrude a wider range of materials, including cross-linkable resins. The ISO-therm SCD can co-extrude more temperature sensitive materials, such as PVdC, rubberized polymers, engineering plastics and LCP. This technology can be used in co-extrusion applications such as blown film, blow molding, wire and cable, or tube and hose.
