Standard palette paves way for custom colors

Processors using Carilon aliphatic polyketones can now get a palette of standard colors for developing custom color matches.

Clariant Masterbatches Division is the first colorant manufacturer to offer colorant processing that does not alter the mechanical characteristics or flow properties of Carilon. Clariant’s R&D resulted in two methods for achieving the coloration of Carilon. In the U.S., Clairant used carrier substitutions and modifications to the additive masterbatch packages to create a palette of 12 colors. In Europe, Clariant used adjustments to processing technology and related parameters to achieve the Carilon colorants.
