U.S.-based compounder Spartech Corp. is moving some capacity from its plant in Dorval, Que. to its facility in Stratford, Ont., according to a press report. The Dorval plant, one of the company’s smallest compounding operations with an annual capacity of about 9 million pounds, will continue to do a small amount of specialty compounding and color-match work, company officials say. The decision to transfer capacity was made to improve production efficiency and delivery to the company’s main markets.
