New Basics has developed a reuseable hair coloring device that allows users to brush in hair color evenly and with little mess. The brush is designed with a proprietary dye-holding handle and a patented pump system.

“Santoprene thermoplastic elastomer offers a look and feel that makes the New Basics Coloring Brush stand apart from the competition, in functionality and aesthetics,” says Mary Mu, chief of R&D and a co-founder of New Basics.

A blow-molded polyethylene handle is mechanically bonded to the injection-molded grip, made of AES’s 8000 Series Santoprene. The TPE material provides an outstanding seal for a virtually leak-free system, and has high resistance to chemicals and staining. In addition, the high-flow material is easy to process and color. The resin was colored by RTP Co. (Winona, MN).

Santoprene is also used for the brush head and the pump.
