Sonics’ Model HPS 152/152 hot plate welder uses servomotor actuation technology, instead of pneumatic or hydraulic actuation systems. It is capable of welding parts with wall thickness down to one mm.
There are no mechanical stops, so all system actuation can be programmed through a keypad interface.
Its ability to store and retrieve programs through the keypad allows the welder to be set up quickly. Variable speed control can be programmed for a precise melt during heating and assembly cycles.
Radiant or conductive heating modes are ideal for abrasive materials that tend to stick or string. Independent heating zones can also be achieved with platens that are digitally controlled and modified.
