Schad, Shammas honored by CPIA

The Canadian Plastic Industry Association presented a CanPlast Award to Faris Shammas, until recently the vice president for industry competitiveness at the association. Shammas held various positions with CPIA and its earlier incarnation, SPI Canada, during a 26-year career. He left CPIA this past December.

Robert Schad, founder and CEO of Husky Injection Molding Systems Inc., also received a Life Achievement Award from the CPIA during its Annual General Meeting and Executive Briefing in May.

Schad founded Husky in 1953. He announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down from his position of president and CEO.
