Raynger ST series of handheld, non-contact thermometers, distributed by QPC Instruments Inc. (Milton, Ont.) uses infrared technology to measure the temperature of materials up close or from a distance. The user aims at the target, pulls the trigger and reads the temperature on a large, backlit LCD display.

Lightweight and easy-to-use, the Raynger ST can safely measure hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach materials without contaminating or damaging the material’s surface.

These fast response, IR thermometers provide a temperature measurement range of -32 to 540C with an accuracy of +/-1% or +/-1C, whichever is greater. Models are battery powered for full portability.
