The arrival of an accumulator blow molding machine from Graham Engineering (York, PA) “finalizes our company’s new testing centre,” according to Mike Ryan, president, Ryka Blow Molds Ltd. (Mississauga, Ont.).

Located very near Ryka’s design and moldmaking facility, the test centre will perform tests on prototype and production molds prior to shipment, and undertake R&D projects, including mold engineering enhancements. For the moment, it will limit testing to polyethylene and polypropylene materials.

The new machine is an advanced model (GEC-15SP4040S) equipped with a single 15-lb. accumulator head, known for its fast color and material changeovers.
