Buckhorn Canada Inc., a designer, manufacturer and supplier of re-useable plastic bulk containers, supplies Montreal-based Recupration Cascades with extended-height bulk boxes. Recupration Cascades uses the boxes to collect and recycle fine paper in office buildings. The boxes must be moved from collection points to the loading dock for pick-up. For customers in high-rise office towers, however, the procedure proved problematic, as the contents can often weigh 50 kg or more.

Recupration Cascades and Buckhorn found a solution by attaching heavy-duty casters to the base of an extended-length Buckhorn bulk box. Not only is the box easier to handle, but more material can be placed in the box before it needs to be emptied. Recupration Cascades was able to reduce the frequency of pickups and save on labor and transportation costs.
