Using the PolySteel process, a complex mold, such as this for DaimlerChrysler, can be built in as little as 10 days, according to Dynamic Tooling, the developer of PolySteel. This 12 x 12 in. mold was used for prototyping parts made of 30 percent glass-reinforced nylon.
