Southfield, Mich.-based materials supplier R.J. Marshall Company has formed a new division, Marshall Additive Technologies (MAT), to manufacture specialty additives and fillers for a variety of markets and applications.

MAT will offer a wide range of flame retardant and smoke suppressant additives including the H-TecTM line which offers a complete range of ATH, magnesium hydroxides and other magnesium based compounds. The C-TecTM line includes products that will make more cost effective and polymer processable smoke suppressants and flame retardants, including antimony oxide replacements. MAT will also incorporate specialty additive products currently marketed under the American Fillers and Abrasives brand including cycle reducing additives, aramid compounds, cellulose compounds and expanded polyethylene.

In addition to Marshall Additive Technologies’ current line, the new division will work on expanding the product line to include new innovative additives for a variety of markets.

R.J. Marshall is represented in Canada by Burlington, Ont.-based Rejenmor Inc.
