A number of companies received GALEA awards for their business achievements at the recent CPIA Quebec gala. Solmax, a geomembrane manufacturer based in Varennes, QC, was the winner in the Exports category. The award for Small- and Medium-sized Company was given to Micro Moules, a moldmaker from Longueuil, QC. Automotive molder Mark IV Air Intake Systems of Montreal won the Process Innovation category, and Kayak Voodoo, a kayak rotomolder from Montreal, was the winner of Manufacturing Innovation category.
The Career award went to Tony Rushdy, the former Quebec region manager for SPI Canada (now the CPIA).
The GALEA awards are co-sponsored by Export Development Canada; National Research Council; Finances, Economie et Recherche Quebec; and Les Affaires magazine, under the auspices of CPIA Quebec.
