Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik has introduced its latest generation PVC pipe extruders, which extend the processing length of the size 75 single-screw extruder to 40 L/D.
The machines are available with different processing units ranging from 30 to 40 L/D, so that the special pipe production requirements of each individual customer can be met.
“The new, powerful single-screw extruders provide customers with considerably more flexibility concerning the use of different types of dies and thus an opportunity to widen their processing windows,” the company said.
The BEX 1-75-40D can replace the next larger extruder size of the previous generation (1-90-30B) producing the same output.
And the company’s new BEX 2-135 V plus twin screw model (pictured) features a powerful T1max motor with a torque of 58,000 Nm and a direct drive. According to Battenfeld, this unit provides an increase in output of approximately 30 per cent compared to its predecessor model, with a maximum output of 1,000 kg/hr.
