Only in Canada you say?

Ideal for grinding small quantities of hard, thick-walled or brittle sprues and scrap, the NS Series granulators from Conair are quiet, low-speed units. They use rotating cutters and fixed blades to produce a uniform granulate with a minimum of noise, energy consumption and frictional heat. This NS Series is marketed exclusively in Canada.

Three models are available with nominal throughput ratings of 20, 30 and 40 lb./hr. A compact footprint makes the NS Series suitable for low-throughput, beside-the-press applications.

Granulator joint-venture brings us European technology

Battenfeld Gloucester Enginering has formed a joint-venture with CMG of Italy to provide a wide range of reclaim equipment, including granulators, shredder, blowers, cyclones and conveyors. The Gloucester-CMG product line includes granulators and shredders from 3 to 300 hp with several different knife and rotor configurations.

CMG has been one of the largest OEM suppliers for granulators sold in Canada and the U.S., so the Gloucester-CMG business will allow these customers to receive the same equipment at more competitive pricing.

Adjustable knives speed changeover

Wittmann has introduced a low-speed (240 rpm), high-torque granulator to the North American market. The MB Series granulators use a slant knife design and a three-blade open rotor with adjustable knives instead of fixed knives. This achieves a constant cutting circle with the screen, even after sharpening, for greater cutting efficiency. A pre-adjustment knife fixture is standard with each granulator, and allows knives to be gapped outside the granulator for maximum accuracy. If a spare set of knives is gapped in advance, a complete knife change can be performed in under 30 min.

Quick color changes with tool-less entry

The Getecha GRS Series angled rotor granulators are beside-the-press units designed for sprues and parts, producing dust-free output with no overs. Rotor speed is reduced 33% compared with Getecha’s ARG Series granulators to deliver better quality regrind.

The units have a split cutting chamber with tool-less entry for quick, complete access and easy screen removal. Clean out or color changes can be accomplished in 10 minutes or less. Cutting chamber size ranges up to 14 in. x 17.5 in.
