The new Process Data Acquisition System from SYSCON-PlantStar utilizes PC technology based Process Data Acquisition Modules (PDAMs) to gather process data from manufacturing processing equipment, auxiliary and assembly equipment.

Data is gathered via the dozens of serial interface drivers, as well as Open Process Control servers available on the market.

Additionally, PlantStar’s optically isolated analog/digital converter card can connect to machine sensors without draining the signal going to the machine control. A single PDAM can connect to up to eight machines simultaneously.

Any PDAM can be configured to gather process data in any of the methods above separately or utilizing a combination of all methods at the same time. All PDAMs communicate via Ethernet communications as do the CIM Data Collection Modules PlantStar deploys in its full MES systems.

The process data can then be integrated with PlantStar’s SPC2 quality evaluation and management software or other SPC/ SQC packages. The data can be used in a simple spreadsheet for analysis or a higher level
