Temperature Corp. now offers the EC-TC control system (Electronic Capacity-Temperature Control) on its portable chillers. This is standard on Air Cooling Chillers for the film industry and an option on other air and water cooled chillers, from 3 to 40 tons.
The EC-TC system controls the leaving water or air temperature +/- 1C from no load through to full load. When incorporated with the ACC units for cooling of single air ring systems, the unit can control leaving air under the following conditions: inlet air flow (cfm) from 50 percent to 150 percent of design temperature and humidity.
The EC-TC control is able to achieve this precise temperature control by using a state-of-the-art modulating valve with 6000 steps from full open to close and a 4 to 20 ma PID temperature controller sensing the leaving water or air.
