Dynisco Instruments introduces a series of portable pressure sources, the PPS 1100 and PPS 1200, which offer a high level of accuracy (+/- 0.1%) in calibrating melt pressure instrumentation. Users can calibrate their melt pressure transducers off-line to save production time. With its heated pressure port, the PPS 1200 can also simulate actual process temperatures, up to 752F (400 C).
They are also capable of pressures up to 10,000 psi and are switch selectable between psi, bar and kPA. Pressure is applied by a large, easy to turn knob which is attached to a mineral oil filled reservoir, creating hydraulic pressure.
