PlastiSoft Corporation has recently released an upgraded version of Tori-Flex which provides extruders, printers and converters of plastic flexible packaging with many new enterprise management features, including the ability to accurately estimate the cost of multi-layer bags, a process that has been a constant challenge for manufacturers.
Other new features include improved barcode shipping by pallet, a full purchasing module, user customizable quotes and work order reports, as well as a state of the art data-mining module for sales and production.
“Our development team has spent eight years collaborating closely with flexible packaging manufacturers to understand in-depth their distinctive process requirements such as costing factors and other unique requirements for the flexible packaging industry,” says Jacob Aharon, president and CEO of PlastiSoft.

If your company is adapting a product or its manufacturing process to compete with imports or to adapt to a changing environment, then the SR&ED program can offset some of the costs associated with advancing your technology. The Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) has been working with the CPIA to clarify the application to the plastics industry of the SR&ED Program Income Tax Act legislation and the associated regulations. Please stop by our booth and meet members of the CRA team if you have questions about what you can claim.
