TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER REDUCES SHEAR

Deltaplast Machinery Ltd., a long-time manufacturer of single-screw extruders and co-extruders, is launching a new line of parallel twin-screw extruders, the company’s first twin-screw machine. The new line, called the DTS series, is targeted at the PVC market. The DTS series utilizes counter-rotating, parallel twin-screw technology, giving it several advantages over conical screw configurations. These include greater throughputs and longer screw life due to the reduction of rapid shear introduced into the material.

FULL LINE OF EXTRUDERS

ExtrusionTek Milacron has expanded several of its extrusion product line. The PAK line now includes a 10 in. diameter model, the PAK 1000. The TC conical twin, counter-rotating line now includes 35, 50, 55, 65, 80, 86 and 92 mm models, plus the unique VMEDs co-rotating material pre-heater is available on more models. The TP parallel twin, counter-rotating line of extruders has also been rounded out to include 75, 93, 115, 140 and 172 mm versions, with 26:1 or 30:1 L/D ratios.
