THREE-DIMENSIONAL WELDING OPENS UP NEW APPLICATIONS

Leister’s Novolas Globo Laser Welding Technology is a three-dimensional welding process based on the contour welding principle. Laser welding, referred to as Through Transmission IR Welding (TTIr), eliminates the need for consumables and is an ideal process for joining thermoplastic materials without producing particulates. This innovative technology combines all of the advantages of TTIr while overcoming the necessity for intricate clamping systems. As a result, the Globo process offers new opportunities for high-quality, three-dimensional welding applications such as headlight and taillight assemblies, instrument clusters and many other multi-dimensional designs.
