Those in attendance at the Canadian Association of Moldmakers’ September meeting were treated to a tour of Magna’s Integram, Windsor Seating facility, an overview of the National Research Council’s Moldmaking research and development program and, as always, good food and plenty to talk about. The plant tour gave attendees a bird’s eye view of Integram’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility whose 800 employees assemble nearly 1,500 complete front and rear seat packages each day. Burt Kenney, president of CAMM, (above left) briefed the meeting on CAMM’s upcoming year, and NRC group leader, solid freeform technologies, Millan Yeung (left) gave a presentation on the NRC’s rapid prototyping and rapid tooling resources and programs.
