Jeff Saeger has been appointed director of marketing for Clariant Masterbatches’ North America region. His responsibilities include directing business activities of all market segments and Clariant ColorWorks design & technology centers, as well as regional implementation of global marketing initiatives. Material handling supplier Novatec Inc. has appointed PeterL. Armbruster as regional vice president responsible for sales in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, as well as in Canada. Headquartered in Fenton, Mich., Armbruster will also coordinate with the Kalamazoo-based Novatec Great Lakes Regional Projects Office, which provides engineering services for complete auxiliary equipment systems. In Canada, he will work with Maguire Canada, which stocks, sells, and services Novatec products in that country, along with equipment from Maguire Products, Inc., an affiliate of Novatec.

Blown film equipment supplier Kiefel Inc., headquartered in Wrentham, Mass., has expanded its customer service department. The company has named Scott Ryan to the new position of technical sales manager, and will be based in Nashville, Tenn.; Jamie Nelson has been promoted to the position of service manager, and will be based out of Wrentham; and Mark Smith has been appointed to the position of service technician.

Bob Brandt has been named vice president of manufacturing for MEGlobal, a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company and Petrochemical Industries Company of Kuwait. He will be responsible for operation of three ethylene oxide-ethylene glycol production plants in Alberta.

Instrumentation equipment supplier Dynisco, of Franklin, Mass., has announced a series of appointments. Mike Kelly has been named to the position of senior vice president, business unit manager, plastics; Matt Carrara is now executive director of global sales and marketing, plastics; and Mike Davis in the new product manager, plastics.

Tooling supplier The L. S. Starrett Company has appointed Hardy Hamann to the newly created position of vice president of marketing and business development. He will be based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Athol, Mass.
