Georgetown, Ont.-based hot runner supplier Mold-Masters Ltd. has named Bruce Catoen to the position of vice president, marketing and business development.

Georgetown, Ont.-based hot runner supplier Mold-Masters Ltd. has named Bruce Catoen to the position of vice president, marketing and business development.

Madison Heights, Mich.-based mold technology supplier D-M-E Company has announced a series of appointments. Ken Jasina has been named to the position of general manager for the Americas, with oversight of sales, finance, engineering and operations. Bruce Wasilewski has been appointed to director of Asian operations, overseeing all joint-venture companies including D-M-E India. And Doug Miller is assuming the role of operations manager, with responsibility for all North American plants and distribution centres.

Thermal Care Inc. announced the appointment of Steve Buck as president, effective October 1, 2007. Thermal Care engineers, designs and manufactures industrial process cooling systems, cooling towers, chillers, and temperature control units for the plastics industry. Unionville, Ont.-based Dier International Plastics Inc. represents them in Canada.

Munich, Germany-based machine manufacturer KraussMaffei has appointed Hans Stadler as the new head of its injection molding sales division.

Brian T. Bishop, president of Demag Plastics Group’s U.S. operations in Strongsville, Ohio, has left the company. Christian Renners has been temporarily appointed to head all activities related to Demag’s machine sales; John Martich will be responsible for all activities related to the U.S. after-sales business; and William Thornton will be responsible for all other activities related to the U.S. operations.

Cambridge, Ont.-based ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. has appointed Garry West as its CFO to serve on an interim basis. West was employed with accounting firm Ernst & Young for 35 years.

Battenfeld Injection Molding has named Michael Wecker as the CEO and manager of the company’s North American division headquartered in South Elgin, Ill., the company announced at K-2007. Wecker is a former senior sales manager at Bolton, Ont.-based Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. Battenfeld has also appointed Terry Roddick as service manager of the Elgin facility.
