The Atlantic region of the CPIA has awarded Sandy Marshall, of Mahone Bay, N.S.-based fiberglass manufacturer Reinforced Plastics Systems Inc. (RPS), with the Plastics & Composites Leader of the Year Award for 2006. The award honours the individual who has shown leadership and vision over a career-long commitment to the plastics and composites industry of Atlantic Canada.

Terry J. Elliot has been named general manager of resin supplier Ampacet Canada Company. He will be based out of the company’s Kingston, Ont. production facility.

Stephanie Carter has been appointed industry manager for the North American infrastructure market within Ashland Composite Polymers, a business group of Dublin, Ohio-based resin supplier Ashland Performance Materials.

Hot runner temperature control supplier Gammaflux L.P., based in Sterling, Va., has appointed Chris King to the position of regional manager for North and South America.

The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) has selected Terry Peters as the new executive director of its machinery and moldmakers divisions. Peters was the former executive director of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA).
