Scott M. Paulson is now president of Paulson Training Programs Inc. (Chester, CT). Scott’s father, Donald Paulson, founded the company in 1976. Scott has worked for Paulson Training since 1988.

Prithu Mikhopadhyay, a dedicated member of the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Quebec Section, has been honored as Person of the Year for that organization. Mikhopadhyay works for pipe extruder Ipex Inc. and is past president of the Quebec Section.

David A. Dunn has joined ZL Engineering Plastics Inc. (Peekskill, NY) as national sales manager for Canada. In this newly created position, Dunn will be responsible for sales of stock shapes to distributors in Canada. ZL offers extruded and cast nylon, acetal, PET, polycarbonate, PEEK, PEI and PVDF stock shapes. ZL can be reached at 866-957-5278.

Steffen R. Burghoff has taken over management of plastic machinery giant SMS Plastics Technology. He is the successor to Helmut Eschwey. Burghoff has a degree in economics and business adminstration, and experience with ThyssenKrupp. SMS Plastics Group includes Battenfeld (injection molding and extrusion), American Maplan (extrusion) and Battenfeld Gloucester (film and sheet technology).

Canada-IntraPac (Don Mills, ON) has appointed Neal Denny to the position of vice-president, new business development. Denny will be responsible for the development of new activity for all IntraPac business units in Costa Rica, Swedesboro, New Jersey, Harrisonburg, Virginia and Plattsburg, New York. Prior to this appointment, Denny was director of sales at the company. IntraPac is a supplier of plastic laminate, jars, bottles and closures to the pharmaceutical, health and beauty markets.
