A plastics industry lifetime achievement award will be presented to Robert Schad, founder and CEO of Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. (Bolton, ON). The Plastics Academy, which administers the Plastics Hall of Fame, has chosen Schad as the recipient of the Daniel F. Fox Lifetime Achievement Award. It will be presented at the Plastics Hall of Fame gala June 26 in Chicago, timed to coincide with NPE.

Blown film systems manufacturer Brampton Engineering (Brampton, ON) has made executive appointments to build a cohesive global sales team. Philip Kwok has been appointed vice-president of sales responsible for all BE sales worldwide. Jim Waslowski has been appointed vice-president of marketing and business development. Bill Wybenga, former president of BE, has been retained as technical director to act as a resource for research and product development.

Martin Baron has joined Atofina Canada Inc. (Oakville, ON) as technical sales representative, Polymers Group. He was previously marketing manager for Atofina Argentina S.A.
